Because my Professor took the time

Compendium of Gratitude
Because my Professor took the time is a Compendium of Gratitude for all of my wonderful Professors at the College of Southern Nevada. Each gave of his or her knowledge and time; teaching me skills and lessons I would need for my ultimate career of archivist and my continuing journey of life long learning. Twenty-three Professors and one College Organization, is symbolically gifted each a flower, fruit or tree from our beautiful, thriving garden.

Heather Bruton
Professor, College of Southern Nevada, Charleston Campus

I gift you, from our garden, the Viola, common name Johnny Jump-up. She, like you, prefers the cooler weather. As a biennial, her dominant color is a mix between red and blue; reminding me to vote responsibly every two years.

Professor, College of Southern Nevada Cheyenne Campus

I gift you, from our garden, the Stapelia Hirsuta. At first it was so 'Alien' Now I know it as hardy, and perpetually blooming in my favorite color.
